Fire Extinguishers
Commander branded fire extinguishers are CE marked and certified, and manufactured to BS EN3 standards, with kitemark. They have been fire test certified by Lloyds Register, and are sold with a 5 year manufacturers warrantee.
Dry powder extinguishers can be used on solid, liquid or gas fires, but are not suitable for chip pan fires. The powder makes the flames burn out as it is too cold to keep burning. Offered in 4 sizes they are our bestselling extinguisher and a fantastic all round performer.
Foam extinguishers are used where the fire has solids and burning liquidsbut are not suitable for chip pan fires. The foam breaks the flames from the fuel as the foam floats on top of the burning liquid.
Water extinguishers are ideal for fires against wood, cloth, paper and coal. They must not be used on burning fat, oil or electrical fires.
Co2 or carbon dioxideextinguishers work by smothering a fire and are used to combat an electrical fire. They are ideal for offices, server rooms, computers, factories and general workplaces.
