Clear Layflat Polythene Tubing
- Sold on roll for continuous use layflat tubing is essentially a polythene bag with no bottom. You are able to decide the length of each bag by how much you pull from the roll, and you can purchase roll widths from 2"/50 mm to 24"/610 mm wide.
- Cost Savings:Less expensive, quicker and more versatile than poly bags, saving you both time and money.
- Film Thicknesses: Available in 2 strengths of 250 gauge (62.5 micron) for medium duty use and 500 gauge (125 micron) for heavy duty items.
- Medium Duty: Perfect for lighter items such as clothes, stationary, posters, sweets, cards, posters, golf clubs, snooker cues and much more.
- Heavy Duty: For carpets, rugs, parts, metal, paintings, valuable items and so on. Choose this gauge of polythene tubing when a higher puncture resistance is required to help protect your items.
- Seal: By using staples, tapes, ties and heat sealers.
- Protection: Against dust, dirt, moisture and water on the move and in storage.
- Ideal solution for creating your own unique bag sizes for your items.
- Bag Widths: These are measured folded flat. To work out what roll widths are suitable to pack your items, you will need to calculate the diameter of the layflat tubing. To do this simply multiply the width by 0.6364. For example, our product code LF25010 is 254mm wide, simply multiply this width by 0.6364 to calculate the diameter of the tubing.

The width is measured when laid flat. To calculate the diameter just multiply the width by 2 and divide by 3.142.
Used widely in multiple industries because simply by cutting this versatile tubing to the length that you require it can be used to pack anything you can imagine. This is the perfect product to pack unusually shaped items and hard to wrap objects, while at the same time eliminating the need to keep large stocks of different sizes of poly bags. Packing departments, factories and warehouses all take advantage of layflat tubing’s biggest selling point of being able to produce custom polythene bags. It really is a fast and simple process; all you have to do is place your item into the tubing and cut to length. You can then either heat seal the bag closed, use twist ties, packing tapes or staples.
